Chelsea 4 Arsenal 1

Eden Hazard is a playmaker who produces.
And Mesut Ozil is a passenger who hides.
Three excellent saves by Petr Cech prevented Chelsea from winning 7-1.
The first ten minutes were scrappy, Sokratis stood on Giroud’s foot, Arsenal’s wing-backs found some promising high positions.
When Lacazette was grabbed by Azpilicueta, he pushed the defender, who collided with his keeper Kepa.
Arsenal’s best moment came when a Xhaka right foot rocket clipped the crossbar.
At this stage Sarriball seemed to be narrowball: Hit crosses, see if I care!
In 40, Petr Cech made a brilliant left-handed save from Giroud after a slick Chelsea move.
First half verdict: a forgettable 45 minutes of mutual containment.
Then Emerson found an unusual diagonal cross towards the near post and Giroud dived in front of Koscielny to send an explosive header bouncing low past Cech for 1-0 in 49. A goal of Champions League quality!
Then Hazard set up Pedro for 2-0, another good finish.
Chelsea had far more nous and even Kovacic was having a decent game!
When Maitland-Niles could not reach the ball he panicked and barged into Giroud in the box to concede a penalty which Hazard converted with panache for 3-0.
Then Guendouzi replaced Monreal, and Iwobi, on for Torreira, fired a thunderbolt that flew just inside the far post to make it 3-1.
Chelsea hit back within two minutes: Hazard found Giroud on the left and he hit a lovely dinked cross back to Hazard for the Belgian maestro to complete the rout.
Chelsea 4 Arsenal 1
Mesut Ozil, a passenger for 76 minutes, was replaced by Joe Willock.
When Hazard set up Azpilicueta, the defender fired a scorching shot that just beat the far post, Kepa made a fine save from Laca, Christiansen blocked an Aubameyang shot and Joe Willock missed a late chance, jabbing it just wide.
Chelsea had far more nous and Arsenal were outclassed.
Arsenal football club, as I said here last summer, is a three-year turnaround.
Ozil was pathetic and should not play for Arsenal again.
