Don’t play Malouda! Play Ryan Bertrand!

I woke  up at 7.15 thinking: Who will score the first goal?

When will it come?

9 minutes?

39 minutes?

89 minutes.?

But late last night I was thinking: I wouldn’t play 4-3-3 and Malouda.

Did you see the Sky Sports preview with Graeme Souness,Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville?

They said Bayern are strong on the flanks, that Ribery and Robben will switch, and that other Bayern players will attack from wide areas, where Chelsea are weak.

Crucially, David Luiz and Gary Cahill are coming back from hamstring injuries. They more they run, the faster they run, the more vulnerable the Chelsea back four  will be.

Gary Neville was saying that, all things considered, the boys thought that Roberto Di Matteo  would go 4-3-3 with Kalou and Malouda.

But I was thinking : Double up on danger man Arjen Robben! Play Ryan Bertrand!

Englishman Bertrand, 22, is a player I know  almost nothing about, since I’ve rarely seen him play. He looks  compact, tidy, very quick and energetic.

What I’ve seen, I like.

I’d never play Malouda in a final, even though he’s Drogba’s mate from way back.

This morning, for a change, I was getting dressed in my office, when Jan handed me a cup of tea.

That meant that I didn’t go downstairs as usual to see the newspaper  football headlines on Sky Sports News.

I just switched on my computer and went to NewsNow Chelsea and the first story I saw was this one.

This is a big weekend for the Palmer clan, with the American Palmers  arriving in  a London hotel as I write this.

However, I can write more on the Final  later, maybe mid-afternoon.
