Harry Kane & Lucas Moura are news/Mourinho looks like history

Manchester United 0 Spurs 3

Will the Special One be there  on Saturday?

Was that the most incoherent United performance I’ve ever seen at Old Trafford?

All weekend I fancied Spurs to surprise the moaners who said, “They haven’t bought anybody.”

BUT THEY RE-SIGNED 7 PLAYERS TO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS.

Spurs have as much automatic as Man City, who use a far more complicated style of play.

At 7pm, seeing Smalling & Jones at centreback,  I backed Dele Alli to score at any time.

Jamie Carragher’s advice to Spurs before kick-off was : Go for the win!

As the match developed, Herrera was playing right side in a back three!!!!!

After 14, I thought Spurs were settling into their shape more smoothly

When Rose made a mistake, Lukaku went past keeper Hugo LLoris but shot wide of an open goal.If he scores, it’s a different game.

In 28 Dele Alli pounced on an error but didn’t play the simple pass to Kane, as he’s been doing for three years. Incredible decision!

Dele hesitated, changed his mind, tried to shoot.

It’s an automatic pass, just play it!

In 29, the clumsy Jones barged into Lucas Moura inside the box. But ref Craig Pawson didn’t give the penalty.

In 50, Trippier took an outswinging corner on the right and Kane took a step backwards to head in from eight yards.

121 seconds later, Eriksen played in Lucas Moura and his low shot beat David De Gea comfortably.

The coup de grace came in 84 when Lucas Moura zoomed into the box again and produced a finish of Jimmy Greaves quality for 0-3.

Son, the South Korean who is the finest Asian footballer to play in Europe, is on international duty at the moment.

Spurs, like Liverpool, have a lot of firepower.

This was only the third win at Old Trafford by Spurs in the Premier League era.

A comprehensive one, set up by Mourinho’s kamikaze team selection.

As I’ve always said, football is a game of sequences, a game of confidence. Every match contains the previous match, even though that’s not always obvious.

The first half hour was hectic and scrappy. But Spurs bossed the game after that and, as Jamie Carragher said, Lucas Moura was man of the match by a mile.

Cardiff v Arsenal is on Sky on Sunday at 1.30 pm.

Watford v Tottenham is on at 4pm.
