I’m still reading Jens Lehmann book/reflecting on this year and next

Hope to review the book soon.

The thing I love about the autobiography is that Jens writes about the things I most want to read about.

The end of the year is coming up fast. But the end of the calendar year marks the halfway stage of the football season and my Decembers are usually a time to look back before I look forward again.

Sometimes, just before New Year’s Eve, I’ve tried to sum up a Palmer year, note a few moments and highlights.

If there is a month when I lose my daily rhythm, it’s December, the wintertime pause when I review what I’ve done, and what I’m planning.

I consider the kind of man I am or was – or will be. In case you’d ever wondered, I see myself as a reflective person but one who is also pretty spontaneous and jokey, a shoot-from-the-hip kind of guy.

However, in between mouthing off and blogging off, I spend far too much time talking to myself.

So it’s quite typical for MJP to  wake up on December 15 and put on his blue dressing gown and his Marks & Spencer slippers and silently say ,”Wenger will go for the FA Cup again, he knows that’s the only thing this bang-average Arsenal outfit can win.”
