I can understand your concerns regarding Wenger, but in my opinion he has been the best-ever signing for the club.
I have been supporting this wonderful club for over 40 years. In that time I have seen different managers and many players. The majority of the time we have been a mediocre-to-good side.
Since Wenger, we have won a number of trophies, and are now seen as one of the top clubs in Europe, let alone the domestic league. Whilst other clubs are haemorrhaging cash and clinging on by their fingernails, Arsenal are pretty much financially sound. Now that may not mean anything now, but it could do soon as more and more clubs fail to meet their liabilities, and the vultures start circling.
I agree 5 seasons without a trophy is at best not good for such a prestigious side, but can we blame Wenger for that? In my opinion no we shouldn’t. He has just been extremely prudent with the club's cash. We have a fantastic stadium, fantastic training facility, fantastic academy and a good squad. All this needs financing, as it is our future! Yes, he has made mistakes, but who hasn’t?
I believe he has built a club which can survive well into the future, with restricted finances. If any of you have been watching this year’s friendly games and last season’s reserve games you will know just what good talent we have coming through. These guys have to know they can get into the side; there is some real quality there.
Be patient, our reward is just around the corner. Forget the other teams and how much they are spending, because it may be short lived.
I wouldn't want to support them!
My trust is with Arsene Wenger and Arsenal!
