EVERTON V ARSENAL? Laca & Auba v Richarlison & Bernard

Unai Emery reckons Lacazette is playing well enough to be recalled to the France squad by Didier Deschamps.

For me, Laca is a very consistent and rugged all-round footballer, a top pro.

He might not be quite as sharp as Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid), who has 28 goals in 69 caps. But Lacazette would be in my squad because he can do things Griezmann can’t do.

In the last round of games Everton went to West Ham and won 2-0 with first half goals by big centreback Zouma (5) and tiny winger Bernard (33).

A Brazilian who played for Shakhtar Donetsk for five seasons, Bernard won three league titles before joining Everton on a free in 2018.

Everton and Arsenal have both played Newcastle in home games recently.

At Goodison the score was Everton 3 Newcastle 2.
At the Emirates, Ramsey scored in their first half and Lacazette made it 2-0 near the end

PREDICTION:  Arsenal play well and defend professionally they can beat Everton 2-1 or 1-0.

I fancy Arsenal to edge this one because their team has more firepower.

Myself, I only gamble on home victories.

You win more often doing that.

Sunday’s Everton v Arsenal is a 2.05 kick-off on Sky.
